Your trips stay yours.

Tripcrafty is an iOS app. Your trip data — destinations, dates, packing lists, expenses, photos you attach — lives in your iCloud private database. We don't see it. We don't have a server that stores it.

What we collect

Nothing personally identifying from the app by default. If you join the early-access waitlist, we store the email address you submit, your place on the list and when you joined. We use it only to manage early access and contact you about Tripcrafty. We do not sell it or add it to unrelated mailing lists. Email us to leave the waitlist and have this record deleted.

The app uses Apple Sign-In for sign-in (Apple gives us a stable opaque ID; we never see your email unless you choose to share it). When you publish a trip to the community marketplace, the trip metadata is uploaded to our CloudKit public database — same iCloud account scope. Listings can be removed by you at any time.

Photos & camera

The app asks for photo-library "add only" access when you save a share card to Photos, and full library access when you attach photos to a trip. We never read photos you haven't explicitly attached.

Sharing and collaboration

Public share cards start with exact dates, party size, spending, booking references, notes, contacts and precise locations hidden. You can explicitly include some fields before sharing. Live trip collaboration uses Apple iCloud Sharing and exposes the full trip graph to named collaborators, including bookings, travellers, notes and expenses. New shares are private and collaborators can edit. The owner can change public/private access or revoke participants in Apple's sharing controls.

Community plans

Publishing a community plan creates a sanitised template in CloudKit's public database. It omits source record IDs, absolute dates, names of travellers, confirmations, tickets, personal notes, contacts, precise addresses and precise coordinates. Budget targets are rounded and expense transactions are not published. You can withdraw a listing.

Location

Used only to surface nearby places when you're on a trip. Never sent anywhere — the request happens on-device against Apple's MapKit.

External affiliate links

When you choose a Viator affiliate link, Tripcrafty opens Viator and includes the excursion search term, trip destination, and Tripcrafty affiliate and campaign identifiers in the URL. We do not include your trip dates, traveller names, booking references, notes or expenses.

Viator uses the link identifiers and cookies to attribute qualifying bookings to Tripcrafty. Once Viator opens, its handling of your visit is governed by the Viator Privacy and Cookies Statement.
